For Secondary Schools
Information Technology (IT) is fast changing and new technologies are always emerging. In order to keep you updated, we have organized many activities cum seminars for you.
Some of the activities that we have organized for secondary schools include:
National StrITwise® Challenge
The National StrITwise Challenge is an inaugural IT competition opened to all secondary schools in Singapore . This objective of the National StrITwise Challenge is to find the team and secondary school that demonstrates the best ability in streetwise application of their IT knowledge. The National StrITwise Challenge trophy will be given to the school of the team with the highest points
TechOne
For the past two years, we have organized IT quiz for secondary 3 and 4 students from neighborhood secondary schools to test their knowledge in IT. The top teams received prizes worth thousands of dollars.
Career Talks
We were very active in helping secondary schools with their career talks on Information Technology. We provided the speakers for their talks. This could be an event on its own or during the schools' IT DAY.
Seminars on Emerging Technologies
The seminars were organized for secondary students, their IT and career teachers. The participants go away with some idea on the latest in emerging technologies such as Wireless Application Protocol and Mobile Computing technologies.
Seminar for Parents
This seminar was for parents of secondary school students to find out more about the courses available in our polytechnic. Tours were also conducted to the parents on the facilities available in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
This year, some of the exciting activities that we have organised include the "Amazing Mobile Race" which was featured in the Computer Times.
