The course is well-recognised by the industry as well as the universities for its rigour in preparing you as an IT professional. It provides you with a strong IT foundation and imbues you with the required professionalism and the soft skills essential in the business world. To cater to varied interests and career options, ICT offers two specialisation options – technology and business. The technology option gives you opportunities to further cultivate your analytical, design and development skills with exposure to emerging technologies. The business option offers insights into business concepts and business processes and develops your skills to empower businesses through the use of IT.
To further strengthen your IT, business, project management and technopreneurship skills, you will undertake a five-month internship in your final year. You can choose a local or overseas internship, or take up technology development in our technology hubs jointly spearheaded with industry partners such as KPMG, Sun Microsystems, NCS, IBM, Singtel and MIT.

With a strong IT foundation and good problem-solving skills, you are well-positioned to pursue a wide range of jobs in a diverse spectrum of industries.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE 'O' Level examination (or equivalent) results and fulfil the aggregate computation requirements.

The aggregate computation for selection is based on grades obtained for English, Mathematics, Science (Grade 1-9) or Design & Technology (Grade 1-9) or Computer Studies (Grade 1-9) and two other subjects.
* Candidates must attain the required grade for English as a first language.
Candidates with severe vision deficiency should not apply for the course.

^ Interdisciplinary Studies (IS) modules at Ngee Ann help students become more versatile and competitive by expanding their knowledge and skills beyond their core disciplines. Areas covered include communication, entrepreneurship, lifeskills, media and the arts, and science and technology.
¹ The modules in Level 3.1 and 3.2 are offered on an interchangeable basis.
Prescribed Modules / Electives
In the second year, students may choose either the business or technology option. Each option requires the completion of five prescribed modules. In addition, they will undergo an Industrial Attachment Programme in their final year.
